Happy 99^th Birthday (98^th in western years) to my incredible teacher, Grandmaster Motobu Chosei Soke (10^th dan) 誕生日おめでとう from all our instructors and students at our Mumonkan Dojo family in Canada . Motobu Chosei Soke is the reason for what we have today at our Mumonkan Dojo !

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Shihan P. Kobos has just been elevated to 6th Degree Black Belt in Japanese Karate of Motobu-ryu while in Osaka, Japan, by Motobu Chosei Soke (10^th dan). Shihan Kobos has become the highest ranking foreigner to ever be promoted in Motobu-ryu in Japan. Shihan P Kobos, Chief Instructor of Mumonkan Dojo in Edmonton, Canada, is currently the representative of Motobu-ryu for North America, licensed master instructor and director of two separate organizations (one in Japan and the other in Okinawa).

Three other instructors have also beensuccessfully graded, two of them receiving their 1^st degree Black Belt.
